Basic Mosaic

A good mosaic workshop for beginners and those who  want to make a mosaic using basic techniques, tools and materials.  This class is a great foundation to jumpstart your mosaic experience using the “DIRECT METHOD”. You will learn how to cut different shapes of glass using a "wheel nipper" and understand basic thumb-rules of the art form. All materials are provided, Mosaic Base, tiles, adhesive grout etc. It is an opportunity to experiment with color and texture and discover the possibilities of mosaic.

Advanced
Mosaic

The advance mosaic workshop includes a complete overview of materials, techniques, that will guide students through each stage of the process- from design, creation, and installation of a mosaic mural. You will learn  the “INDIRECT METHOD” and how to cut desired shapes from glass tile using tools like a scorer, plier, grozer, and wheel-nipper. This provides hands-on experience for those wanting to dive into larger work and who want to learn best practices for taking on big projects.

Looking to take your glass cutting skills to the next level? This 4 -hour workshop is for you!  Whether your focus is mosaic art or stained glass, this class can advance your cutting skills. The focus here is on advanced cutting approaches to create curves and patterns. This glass mosaic workshop  also includes an overview of different styles of glass tiles and the different tools used for cutting.

This workshop will result in an understanding of the different techniques to achieve different shapes and sizes in glass cutting.
